Perfect place, adult only, to relax

Great hotel, adult only. Perfect to relaxing. You dont need to leave the hotel, you have 2 stores with all essencials and 6 restaurants. You can take some tours too, i highly recommend Chichen Itza and Tolum.

Beautiful resort in a great location with amazing food.

We had a great stay. The resort was absolutely beautiful. We loved that the pathways between the amenities were tree covered with lots of cute coatis (raccoon like animals) running around. It felt very jungle-like and charming. The beach area was beautiful and very private, and they kept the beach nice and clean. The staff were super friendly and made the stay better. The food was excellent as well. They had tons of choices for food allergies/sensitivities with many types of cuisine. We will definitely come back.

The furniture in our room was a little outdated and not up to the same quality as the rest of the resort. Other than that, nothing else that we can complain about!

Ok let me start off by saying that I absolutely do not do reviews and this is my first because I was so blown away with this hidden gem. My girlfriends and I took a Friendsgiving trip during the holidays and the stay was absolutely phenomenal. I requested double queen rooms for the 4 reserved rooms but received 2 kings rooms and 2 queen double rooms. Elisa at the front desk jumped in and made sure the corrections were completed the next day. The beach was beautiful and well maintained. The staff are excellent from the greeters helping with luggage to the waitresses in the main dining. The food by far was the top rated highlight for me. Each restaurant customized from the Buffet to the individual restaurants. The Grill and Roux was absolutely the best. Diego was the hype mam at the Roux and he was very interactive with the guest. The steaks was my all time favorite with the grilled vegetables. please don’t hesitate to book in advance. You won’t be disappointed. Oh by the way…book you a photoshoot with Bernice in the photo room. This young lady works hard and made our social media photos beautiful!

Great resort on a fabulous beach!!!!

Beautiful resort in a jungle & mangrove setting on one of the best Riviera Maya beaches!! La Palapa buffet restaurant often had better food than the specialty restaurants! Great pool with bar serving excellent drinks!

I read online that Privilege rooms were in bldg 5 & 6 are closest to pool and beach. That’s not true! We were in bldg 2 & had long walk to beach & buffet & pool. I have mobility issues so that was a difficult walk!! But we were close to lobby and specialty restaurants.

Amazing place and staff but some improvements could be done for a perfect experience

The place (jungle with animals), the beach (waow!), the staff, shows of quality, the food at the Beloved, comfortable bed and pillows.

Animations from staff, food could be improved in other places than the Beloved (Mexican buffet on Mexican night was disapointing). Walls are thin and neighbourgs were very noisy at night. We could even hear them snoring !

Great relaxing holiday, amazing people, beautiful beach and the pool was nice.

The staff of this hotel were great, friendly and always helpful. Diego (entertainment) and the hostess at the breakfast and lunch area were amazing. The food was good, the gym looked modern and the spa was very clean and nice.

The location (between Tulum and Playa del Carmen) made it a little difficult to see the nearby town, you always need a cab, that is not a big problem but it will take at least 45 minutes to get there. And two of the treadmills in the gym were not working for the whole week. People had to wait to use it. So I stopped using it and went straight to the bar lol. It would also be great if there is a bar where we can watch sport games, I was missing that.

The staff are incredibly hardworking and friendly. The hotel is set within lush natural landscaping which sets this hotel apart from most of the other hotels in the area. The hotel isn’t too big, but has everything you need for a great time within a short walk. The food is consistently really good, with lots of choice to suit most requirements. The beach is quite, with lots of space to sunbath, chill in the shade, swim or do activities.

The only improvement would be more facilities for guests checking out (a room with power sockets, AC, a changing area and maybe a shower).

I already miss!

Beach was beautiful, white sand, palm tree shadows, peace... Before I go I was thinking about sargassum but it was not a problem. Hotel staff claen them up every morning. The animals were surprise to me. As an animal lover it made me extra happy. They are so cute, living between you but do not touch you :) I was in the nature during 5 days. Room cleaning service so good. I did check all shore line hotels before I did book and I can say that it was a right choice. If I go to over there again definitely I will stay at Catalonia Royal tulum.

There are 5 a la carte restaurant for dinner and you need to make a reservation. The system is easy through mobile and website but if you are late then all hours are full. Generally 19:00ish hours. You need to get it before 19 or after 20. It did not be a problem to me, the only thing was, the meal size was very small for an adult. I did try all 5 restaurants and each of them size is similar.

Top notch service/food, with the best slice of paradise and no kids running around to ruin your trip.

The service was excellent, and the resort was very clean. The food was amazing for a all inclusive and I was really surprised by that! Room service was excellent as well!

The bed was very hard and squeaky, but that was the only issue we had and after a few nights we became used to the firmness.

relaxing getaway with amazing views

3rd stay here. Excellent value. Privilege upgrade which gives access to Beloved restaurant/lounge/beach is a must for me for the views of the beach and palm trees, ambiance, and continuous a la carte service. The food is tasty and satisfying for the price, they make an effort and nice presentation. Beef items at all locations were especially delicious on the last trip, compliments on the supplier. We ate mostly at Beloved. Juice bar is great. Room was clean. It’s the tropics, so expect humidity. AC worked and room remained cool. Staff was lovely and very accommodating

Not many complaints since we understood what to expect. - privilege Beach loungers could use some cushioning. - some not top shelf Alcohol brands meant it took a little time to figure out our preferred drinks (beer, ranch water, aperol spritz for me with a few indulgent mudslides & pina coladas thrown in) - the seaweed, but that’s not the resort’s fault. It comes and goes with good days and bad. - Dinner spots other than Beloved could use some updating. Dimming the lights would be a good start.

Very Good

Food is decent and fairly good in most respects. Most restaurants were fairly good, nothing steller. I liked the quesadilla at Adelitas. Jorge was a good waiter. Only one very mediocre mezcal available and often they run out. Service, including room maids higher than average. Buffer for breakfast and lunch above average. Buffet views of beach superior if you get a good seat. Animation staff run a fun program despite low budget. Aquaexercise was always fun! Good job Regina, Juan, and Diego! Great beach and fine pool and bars. Overall good value for the money and staff was above average towards superior. If you have to work wifi is pretty good compared to other hotels in area. I recommend this property given the above criteria.

Your Mexican buffet night was subpar. Not even flan or mole. The room service was pathetic. Ordered a grilled veggie sandwich. It was three layers of white bread with sautéed onions thinly spread on two layers of white bread. Essentially a bread sandwich. We ordered a Cesar's salad... came with no dressing. Ordered a chocolate cake that seemed old and wasn't even a slide - it was a triangle slide 2 inches Ling with dried frosting on the plate - pathetic for an otherwise decent restaurants on premise.

Fantastic! exceeded our expectations!!

staff were all really friendly and helpful! lovely comfortable big bed and pillows. Great selection of a la carte restaurants! locations great and scenic walk from lobby to beach! well worth paying a little extra for the privileged, could not get enough of the Beloved restaurant! food, views and cocktails were amazing!!
